Saying Sorry

I’ve been watching a comedy panel show tonight where the host has recently been exposed for tax dodging. His guests were absolutely merciless with their jokes but I think his policy of inviting their scorn was not only brave but also very shrewd. Once the truth is out in the open, there’s really a limit to what else can be said. The fact that the comedian did not attempt to absolve himself or pass the buck and even made quite a few jokes about himself was also very disarming. As parents, we owe it to our children to teach them how to say sorry. The best way to do this is to lead by example. Nobody is perfect and we learn by our mistakes, as do our children, if we are brave enough to admit them. What do you think?
